Propelled into a space-time journey, a mysterious explorer traverses the inner worlds of an entire generation of adolescents. What are the dreams, fantasies, and rumblings of these elusive beings? Extending its creative work around the work of Annie Ernaux, the artistic team met and collected the words of dozens of young people from France, Quebec, and Europe from 2018 to 2022. The performance offers a sensitive insight into the labyrinth of today’s youth’s thoughts. A journey through adolescence carried by a phantasmagoric audiovisual universe.

The show is available on tour with english subtitles.

Behind ordinary situations, #generation(s) addresses profound themes: love, friendship, sexuality, the fear of the unknown, relationships with parents, isolation, budding desire, the future, the loss of a loved one, the construction of memory... All closely linked to current social issues: freedom of speech, consent, pandemic, climate change... Through this polymorphic writing, adolescence is represented in all its complexity, with its obstacles, discomforts, first experiences, doubts, and fantasies. #generation(s) invites every young person to feel less alone and every adult to reconnect with their own adolescence, buried or forgotten.

PARTICIPATORY SECTION IN PERFORMANCE "FLASH!"

A first part written and performed by teenagers.

The company relies on the meeting and creation protocol it developed during the European project to carry out, in 5 days of workshops and rehearsals, shared and ephemeral creations that place the voices of young people at the forefront. The young participants experiment with both writing and acting, revealing with courage and sincerity their intimate questions and perspectives on the world around them.

FLASH! can be performed in non-dedicated venues and as the first part of #GENERATION(S).
