This diptych consists of two fictional stories connected to the theme of deportation. These are intimate journeys of individuals confronting "the great History," introspective narratives intertwining the concepts of the duty of remembrance and transmission. A father imparts human values to his son in the wagon taking them to Auschwitz: En ce temps-là, l’amour... by Gilles Ségal, while a young teenager pieces together her grandmother’s past through the numbers of her tattoo: 146 298 by Rachel Corenblit. These two monologues, performed by the two actors from La Troisième Vague, bring forth words from the past to spark dialogue and reflection with new generations.
